SBF unveils Council for 2016-2018 at 14th Annual General Meeting

Over 200 member companies attended the 14th AGM
The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) held its 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, attended by over 200 member companies. It was announced that eight new members, comprising four elected members and four representatives of trade associations and chambers, were appointed to the SBF Council for a two-year term from 2016 to 2018. Joining the SBF Council for the first time is the China Enterprises Association (Singapore). It demonstrates SBF’s commitment to facilitate business exchanges between Singapore and China, and help member companies understand and tap on emerging business opportunities in China.

Following the AGM, the new Council held its first meeting, where Mr SS Teo was re-elected as SBF Chairman for the second consecutive term. A Ministerial Dialogue was also held with Mr Ong Ye Kung, Acting Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence. Moderated by new Council member and Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers WMS Pte Ltd, Mr Yeoh Oon Jin, the dialogue discussed how SkillsFuture can assist employers in integrating education, training and career progression to best meet organisational and workforce needs, among other pertinent business issues.
